Is Ms. Simpson turning green with envy? No, she's going green!

Welcome to Ms. Simpson's "Think Green" website. This is a site for English Language Learners and their families. The purpose of this website is to serve as a resource for English Language Learners in the South Orange Maplewood School District. I chose the theme "think green" so that we can all -- myself included -- learn about ways to protect our environment as we improve our language skills.

Visit our class blog to communicate your ideas about many topics, including how we can protect our environment.
To receive messages and announcements from this site, please join the email center.

Practice your English vocabulary with pictures at ESL Bears!

"To turn green with envy" is an American idiom. An idiom is a group of words that have a special meaning that is very different from the ordinary meaning of the separate words. Idioms are used by all native speakers of English.

How can you help our environment?

Watch the Story of Stuff.

Other Languages? Visit the International Site. All the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this we never see. The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute video about the effects of human consumption. The Story of Stuff shows us the connection between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and fair world. Watch it and then let's discuss it on My Blog.
